Possible tranny noise ?

Default Possible tranny noise ?

Hey guys been a busy summer so i havent had much time to stop in and i would like to say a big thanks to everyone who has helped me here in the past you have all been great and i try to help when i can .

now for a question, truck has sat most year as i only drive in winter, weird noise heard this time . when put in gear had a sound like a power steering noise when low on fluid . if you know what i mean that horrible wine
when put in drive an reverse its there and when back to park seems to fade off .... was odd thought at first power steering but that part was quite

first though was pump, in tranny but i dont know much about that or how they work, i drove around a bit seems to shift fine goes thru the gears put in 4x4 and put under load seemed to be fine .

any thoughts ................. ????????????????????

Did the noise go away? Or does it do that every time?

no it did get a little quieter but seemed to remain just not as bad as it was on initial start . is it possible the internal pump is going or im worried now the tranny is going ??????????????

Check the trans fluid level

well without being told the obvious the fluid level was checked prior to my post

does the noise happen in park, reverse, drive, N, 3,2,1

noise in reverse loudest , D 321 its still there not in neutral or park
