The price of winter blends should drop commensurate to the volume reduction of the stuff that matters...

Little known fact: there are MANY different blends of fuel.. some cities require their own.. some states.. one thing for certain is everybody is on board with winter fuels, for the blingbling to be made.. same volume of fuel? Same taxes per.. more fuel being used? PERFECT!!!

Every year we go through the same thing...gas prices usually go up because it effects supply as the refineries have shut down for a period of time to "re-tool" for the winter blend. I think it is EPA mandated so everyone gets it...needed or not.

I've owned two gen 2's now here in the east coast and I think they run much better in the cold than in the summer. My overall trans temp is way down since the high is 50 now here. And stock temp gauge is showing cooler overall running as well. I always run at least 89 octane and 99% of the time Sunoco in my truck and I have not noticed any difference in my ram...

My truck seems to like the cold, which is good, our average annual temp is 40 F. Or it's the NGK V-power plugs I just put in for the first time. No more champs or autolites for me.

Over the last few years cold in Georgia = F@CKING COLD! It actually snowed here, in Fitz, a few years ago, some areas got 2" or so, which is nothing compared to what others get, but pretty damn good for this far South.

BTW, last time I was in town gas was $3.12, you get $0.10 off if you use a WalMart Shopping Card at the Murphys Gas Stations, so $3.02 is pretty nice.

But on topic I've never really noticed a difference in winter blend gas or mileage during the winter.
