Default Rear brake line question

I replaced the long line that runs from the front of the truck to the rear. While doing this, I saw that the line coming from the junction block on the axle to the long line was missing the metal crimp from one end and just holding on by pressure and rust. It looks like this line is a part of the block, not threaded into it. Am i wrong? How do I change this line? My truck is a 1999 Sport 4WD. Any help would be appreciated. I have looked to this forum for help on many repairs in the past and found answers, but I couldn't find anything on this. Thanks

Of course it's threaded in. I think you are looking at the wrong block . There are 2. One is just a brass block for the rear line. The one you seem to be talking about is the front line with the hose connected to it. One is right behind the other.

I think he might be talking about the bracket connection between the front to back hard line and the rubber hose to the rear axle...... I think.
Shade tree mechanic, go to the FAQ section and download the parts manual, and then let us know what you are talking about exactly.

edit
I tried to post a pic from the parts manual....... But my photobucket account is taking forever and a day to load.

I think I found the answer to my question. It's part 1 in figure 5-530 at this link... http://www.berrysprinter.com/e-Fiche...97-01/99BR.pdf
It looks like the block and hose are one piece. The other lines thread into the block, and the block is screwed into the axle. I'll check in the morning on the truck. Thanks

one in the same part.

The block bolts to the axle with axle vent bolt.
the hose end clips into a bracket on the frame.
and the long front to rear brake line threads into the hose end at the frame.

I clicked on your link and my computer went nuts and shut down.
You can go to the top of this page and go in the FAQS and download your parts manual.
I put all the Rams, Durangos, Dakotas, Neons, Jeeps and some others on google docs a couple years ago.
