Default trans cooling

is the line with the check valve the line from the trans? or the return? and what should the pressure be? also is it ok or a good idea to bypass the radiator and use just a cooler?

Default Tranny

The line with the check valve is coming from the transmission, I installed a filter on mine over Thanksgiving. My 96 had a cooler on it already so I kept in inline as it was going thru the radiator.

what did u use for a filter? and I replaced my radiator with a used one that was full of sand it looked like it was buried in a sand box but I ended one in a pinch so I washed it beast I could but was scared of the sand in the trans part (Idk if there was it did have pluggs in it) so I bypased the radiator all together.

Will the truck ever see cold weather? If so, it's not a good idea. Automatic transmissions do not like cold ATF.

Default Filter

The remote filter setup I bought on ebay did not come with a filter but the same filter I use on the 5.9 fit just fine so out of convenience that is what I used.
