Default trannys that bolt onto the 318

Hello,

I have a 95 dakota sport 2wd 2.5l k i4 motor. I'm not sure what the tranny is on this truck. It's a 5 speed. I'd like to install the factory 318 someday but not sure if it's compatible with my trans. Does anyone know what I have and what all works with the 318?

Much appreciated

46RE, I think 44RE, but those are rare, NV3500 and prolly the NV4500.

Those are the only ones that come to mind right now.

I'm not sure what tranny is behind your 2.5L, but i doubt it would bolt up to a 318, and if it did, i dont think it would last too long. The trannies you could use is a 46re (automatic) or NV3500(5-spd manual). I think a NV4500 LD from a V8 2500 Ram may work also...

Edit, dodge dude is faster than me, lol, forget about the 44re
