Default transmission won't shift into third.

I have a 1994 dodge 1500 5.2l and when I drove it today it wouldn't shift into third, it shifted from 1st to 2nd just fine but it wouldn't shift into third. I don't know if the bands need to be adjusted or if its something else. thanks

I looked at the service manual and the tv cable had no way of adjusting it.

That diagram is for a '99. Your trans. is the same as mine, a 46RH. There's a button to push in to adjust it where the diagram shows the letter T on the '99 linkage. May need a screwdriver or something to push it in.

If you notice if you go fast in second and let off the gas and it goes into 3 rd probably the seals worn out in the high clutch of the trans. I wouldn't adjust the cable if its been good upto now. maybe just check at the trans the lever that cable is attached to isn't seized
