97 1500 360 4x4 auto to NV4500
idk this is good news for me though knowing front is a 60 and not a 44, no one wants a 44 around here, the guys coming to look at it want to replace their 44 which left them leaning on the side of the road with a wheel laying out in a field lol
alright, ill check that out this weekend, thanks for the help, I think the rest of this project will be put on hold now for a while, maybe drive the thing some but body work is gona have to wait till it gets nice out or we get this nice tractor out of the shop, probably tear into it again to replace the water pump gasket and hope that fixes our leak, probably swap out radiators and drop the body while we're at it, and seal up the transfer case
well plans kinda took a turn, axle came in for that tractor so spent the weekend 2 weeks ago putting that in and getting it out of the shop, then last weekend had some other stuff goin on too, but found some time to work on it, got some used 35s stuffed under it and im liking the look, need some hub spacers though cause they fight with the control arms, put the front coils off the red truck under it and gave it some boost up front, trying to track down a new front bumper now
Donor was a pile lol, hood and roof had hail damage, doors seem ok though, paint peeling bad on the rest of it. Besides motor and hood rest of the front was gone when i bought it. Drivers side of box was smashed in, tailgate beat to heck and smashed, interior was horribly inhabited with mice. Seat chewed, wiring chewed steering wheel just plain wore down to the steel. Doors even had rats nests in them made from the sound material, but good thing they were all manual so i just transferred wiring from black doors into red ones when i converted them. thats just to start lol
ok guys finally got a mechanical gauge hooked up. It was about 35*F outside and I just pulled it into the shop so oil wasn't to warm yet. At start up with 10W-30 Quaker State and maybe 2 miles on an oil/filter change I had 35psi. My T-case is almost dry so its not going down the road to get warmed up till I fix that but I assume its gona drop to about 15-20psi at operating temp.
Time to pull it and do bearings and such? High volume oil pump take care of it? If I keep it I plan to pull it and tune it up someday but until I'm out of school and working that ain't happening. I could do bearings now probably with a cheaper set from napa or something. Just to get it looking good for resale and get rid of the CEL/low oil pressure light.
