Center Console Re-skin?
After 15 years of having an elbow dug into it, the vinyl on top of the center console lid has cracked, and is in need of replacement.
But in looking at it, I'm wondering how the trim around the latch button is removed.
If this is like the rest of the plastic in these trucks, I'm sure it is brittle, so I don't want to just start prying on it trying to get it off.
Does anyone know how to disassemble the lid?

In the process off doing this myself. The trim around the button is the easy part. Two tangs hold it on that simply need to be depressed. However, the big plastic bezel on the underside is a pain in the rear. I've disassembled 3 of them and at least 2-3 retainers have broken on each one, no matter how gingerly you pry. You can always JB weld them back in place but they'll never be as good as new. Dodge made a lot of this stuff to be put together once and never taken apart.
I personally have found U-pull-it yards a good option for replacing the lid as a whole. Just be careful when getting a new one; there are 2 different lengths, 19 and 21 inch.
