Throttle Valve Cable part number?
the dealer got me for 57 bucks but i had to pay it since i was in a hurry. replacing it was the best thing i have ever done to my truck. i've only taken on 2 test drives since finishing the head job but it is shifting better then it ever has and it's kicking down like it should without me having to stand on the gas pedal.

That is all I got. The one i bought was for my chevy but I was told that they have them for dodges as well. The style on the dodges changed after 95 as far as i can tell and the later dodge cable ends are identical to the one i bought for my chevy. And if its the older style that you need and they dont have one then the one for the chevy 700r4 will work. It is a little different style but attaches to the cable and snaps on the throttle body bracket the same way.

I hope you're right QuadCabLuv...hope they have one for my '96 Ram 1500 SLT, 5.2L, automatic. I just did the same thing jpryorx2 did, except all I was trying to do was adjust my TV cable and now the truck is completely down because of that cheap plastic end. It looked to my like that plastic end would just pop off similar to the way hood or trunk struts do once you pry the clip loose. I pulled it toward the passenger side, but after it broke, I could tell then that it was supposed to be pulled toward the front of the truck in order to slide-snap off the stud.

Yeah, I was planning to fix the clutch master cylinder on my Mazda truck that I drive daily. The Ram's been down-shifting when it shouldn't, so I decided to first put a new TPS on it in case I ran into problems bleeding the clutch on the Mazda (known to be difficult). After I finished the TPS, I figured I would adjust the TV cable while I was there since that could also be the source of the shift problem, too. But after I snapped the cable end, I figured I'd better postpone the master cylinder job and limp along.
