Default Trucks making clicking sound?!

Ok so I had some idling/backfiring problems with finally got that fixed turns out it was the plenum gasket and the IAC valve. Anyway no it's running better but when I'm driving it it's making a clicking sound I thought it was the U-joints but the rear are all good and I just replace the front. So it makes a clicking sound as I drive it down the road it doesn't make it when it's in park just when I'm driving it, anyone know what it might be?

Where does it sound like it is coming from? What speed? Better or worse when turning?

10K to 70K?

Check the bolts on flex plate to TC. Another member here had that experience. Remove inspection plate and may have to pull started. Pull spark plugs to make it easier to turn crank.

I tried that and they all seem fine! I used loctite when I bolted it together so they shouldn't come loose anytime soon

LOL! I was thinking RPM! Didn't think metric!

Had to look at pic of my speedo. So from about 5 to 40 mph. Cehck the TC bolts. How are your ujoints? I would check them as well.

Ok. I just rebuilt the whole front driveshaft and the rear is good. Could it be the ujoints in the front axle? Or maybe a bearing?

OK, if TC bolts are good, then it could be the u joints on front. Check front hub bearings as well. I suspect it may be clicking at higher speeds, but increase in engine and road noise may render it unable to be heard.

Would not hurt to double check u joints on deive shafts. Make sure bolts did not loosen off.
