Default Fiberglass driveshaft cracking on 1995 dodge ram 1500?

Is this just a cover or is it the driveshaft itself?

Don't think they ever made driveshafts out of fiberglass...could be wrong though.

Probably some kind of cover. Pictures aint that great so I cant even tell what driveshaft it is (front or back) or what part of the driveshaft is in the picture. Maybe someone else will chime in. I have no experience with that,.

Is it a aluminum shaft? Something tells me it's more of a stone guard thing just used on those DS.
