Eh, if you want.
Don't see any reason NOT to, just make sure it works before it's installed.

anyone got a part number for that o2 sensor?

So far I have:

O2 Sensor from NTK
Fel-pro gasket
Plenum plate and bolts.
Intake bolts (part number or specs?)
Make sure you get the right NTK. They have a 18" and 12" one. I got the 12" and had to go back for the 18" one. If in doubt, measure. It'll probably be the 18“ tho.

Yeah i need to do my plenum too. From reading this thread, i'll probably go with the ebay plate and the felpro gaskets. I could go ahead and replace the o2 sensor and then i want to do the tuneup with new plugs and wires.

I did the Hughes Kit long ago, they've added a bunch of stuff to it now, but the gasket kit really is a joke.

Even if one did buy the Hughes Kit I would get FelPro or MP gaskets and use those instead.

I'm just curious, but what is the difference between the ebay plenum kit compared to hughes?

Not sure. The Hughes is 1/4", I think the eBay plate is 1/4" too. May not be a difference except price.

hughes kit cost more, comes with crappy gaskets...

ebay plate is made from same material as hughes, and by a member here comes with pan bolts.
