Default Fuel tank Rollover valve

I am replacing my fuel pump module and broke the fitting off my rollover valve on top of the fuel pump module. The rollover valve is still intact, just I can't connect the outlet hose to the evap cannister.

After doing some research, mainly here, I went to the dealer and order a new part...

Recieved the part today and it is completely different then my orginal. Looking further online, it looks like the part number is correct, but again the parts looks completely different. Looking at several posts here that have pictures, the pictures is what I have....but the part I order from the dealer is not the same.

So, what would you suggest I do??

My thoughts where to use the orginal valve, but not connect it to the evap cansister. I figure it will do its job..

I was hoping to put this back together on Sunday...

Any suggestions and opinions would be GREAT...thx

Reading threads, it sounds like this part has been on a recall...

Being I broke the part myself...any ideas on how I can get Dodge to pay for a new part??

Well ain't the same is it! So I would try putting the rubber ring on it and then try installing it in the pump housing. As for getting it for free say you read the recall and broke it when trying to change it out idk.

It seems like it would work...I did see if it would fit really quick earlier tonight.

Maybe could this be the "post recall" rollover valve. Obviously they needed to redesign something if they did a recall?

My only concern was it looks to have connections for 2 hoses...my other has only one connection??

At this point, I really don't care about getting it free...already paid the $70...just want to get my truck back together...

Just plug the one side that's not needed. Wow $70 not a cheap part is it.
