Default 94 1500 5.2L Stock Exhaust PipingSize

Hello All,
First post on this forum, but Iam certainly not new to them. I've been through several Mopars now at the age of 21. I've gone through a 96 Neon ACR that I drag raced into submission (blew motor), an 87 Daytona Shelby Z, an 89 Daytona Shelby, 99 Neon Sport, and now my 94 Ram.

I did some searching and cannot find the size of the stock exhaust piping for my truck. Im looking to get rid of my stock muffler and just run a glasspack/thrush sytle muffler to give it a nice sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Pipe size is 2.5 inch.

Do me a favor though, rather than going with the glass pack get a dynomax or flowmaster. They are cheaper than most of the other mufflers out there if thats why you are thinking glass pack, but will still give you a real nice V-8 sound!

Thanks for the quick reply. Im' still considering which muffler to use so I'll keep the Dynomax or Flowmaster in mind. Thanks again.

The MagnaFlow Cat is good. A nice free flowing cat with options for your 02 Sensors to keep it all nice and emission legal. Just mt $.02

instead of just replacing the muffler, I would upgrade the full exhaust system to maximize your gains. I did headers, magnaflow cat, and magnaflow exhaust system all being 3"D and it helped the jeep breath. Your biggest restriction in your exhaust is in the Y-pipe on the passenger side right by the oil filter where they crushed the pipe down to get more clearance around the filter.
