a 1" bolt on the 2 middle studs will be fine.

hints:
1. do NOT use cad plated bolts, studs, nuts. only use plain.
2. only tighten to 70-80% of full tightness the first time. after 4-6 heat cycles take to full tightness. they will seal better. if it leaks be for that go ahead and take to full tightness.
3. dont forget the anti-size compound on the threads.

Can you help me I’m doing my driver side exhaust manifold so what bolts and studs do I need it’s a 2001 dodge ram 1500 360 5.9 motor

As noted above, the thread size is 5/16" x 18 in the heads. If you measure the thickness of the manifold at each bolt hole and allow for about 3/4" of thread engagement into the head, you will come up with the lengths you need. You can also use studs for at least the two center bolt holes on each side of the head to help with manifold and gasket alignment during the re-install.
