Frozen .Unable to shift into 4 wheel drive...
My 1995 2500 SLT had been setting so long in Maine the 4WD stick won't move...I'm practicaly bending the shift pulling it to me on the floor
What can I do...? Will I have to drop the whole transmission for this?
Thankyou for reading.

no you don't have to drop the transmission. only work on - and possible remove the t-case. very easy.
start by disconnecting the linkage at the t-case. one little clip...
and see if you can shift the lever only. this tests whether the shifting linkage is bound up, or the t-case itself.
if you have to remove the t-case, sheriff has a good thread on it somewhere. its not a hard job.

here's a useful thread regarding removal/reinstall.
