Default Sub zero temps on cold/aftermarket air intake

96 ram1500 5.2 2wd

Hope this is the right forum. I am looking into buying an aftermarket air intake. I live in ak where it gets pretty cold. I know when its really cold gas milage gets awefull even with stock airbox. would putting on a after market or even cold air intake just destroy my already awesome mpg?

Don't waste your money. Get a K&N drop in and be done with it.

Unlike other vehicles, for some reason, 2nd gen Rams do not benefit at all from a cai.

X2. You wont gain anything except for a lighter wallet with a "cold air" intake. They pull air from the same place as factory.

$60 does sound better than $300.
