96 Ram 1500 V8 5.2 Fuel Gauge or tank issues
Just bought a 96 Ram 1500 on Saturday, and its been very nice so far except for one problem. The gas Gauge isnt completely accurate at all. When the throttle is hit, the gauge goes down to Empty, but when I brake, it jumps up to full.
Is there a sloution to this besides getting a new tank?
And I still have a quarter of a tank, but it says empty. It stays on full for the first 48 miles, then drops down to 0 within 40 miles. Its like the gauge is too small to read the fuel level correctly. Any suggestions for my issue?

Check all the grounds. From battery you should have one large one to engine block, one to fender, one to frame, and one from pass side head to firewall. Not sure if there is on at gas tank. But faulty grounds have been known to cause such gremlins.
