Transfer case conversion?

Default Transfer case conversion?

I've got a 97 ram 1500 my father in law has a 99 ram 1500 im wondering since i have a spare transfer case if there was a way to change out the shafts on the transfer cases since the one I gave him has the 1.5 Inch shaft and his needs the .75 Inch shaft any help would be appreciated.

If both the cases are the new style gear cut (thin 16mm input bearing) it's as easy as dropping in the .840" input shaft out of the 99. If the older case has the old style gear cut (24mm input bearing), you will need to use the front case half and planetary assembly from the 99.
