360 Stock iron heads
Hello everyone,
I'm new do "DodgeForum" and I need some advice.
I'm looking to turn my stock 360 out of my 96' 1500 into a street/strip truck starting with the top end and was curious as to weather it would be more beneficial to have a 3 angle port job done to the stock iron heads or save up and order aluminum ones with matching cam and valve train?
Any advice will be very appreciated.
Thanks

Save up and go with aftermarket 5.9 Magnum heads. The stock iron 5.9 Magnum heads are famous for cracking. You can look into some of the budget aftermarket iron heads, such as RHS, Odessa, etc. or spend a bit more money and pick up aluminum heads
Fast trucks are cool, just expensive.
FYI: I'd get aluminum heads, lighter by 50 lbs, easy to repair and you can run a higher compression, I run 91 pump gas on my Eddy headed 11.5:1 408.
Ya I plan on upgrading more than just the heads and engine, that's just were im starting. Working my way front to back. I had the block bored .030 over so I could get the base 408 stroker kit later on down the road.
