Default adjusting bands

hey guys is there a stickey or how to on adjusting bands? I am trying to do the job today but cant seem to find it. thanks.

As zman said get the FSM in the DIY section. Good info in there.

Which bands are you adjusting?

just read thru the service manual. front band seem pretty simple. I am not really a tranny guy. jumping is the best way I can describe what my truck is doing. I just did the check valve delete and that didn't help. im trying all the simple things first.

The front/outside adjusting screw on a 98 requires a special socket, if you can even get to it. Here is the setup I used. And changed the torque value according to the manual (using the special tool) . Name:  DSCF0738.jpg

...by a factor 0d 30% or so.....
