just around the block i didnt go over 20mph. ill check it and post back tomorrow all the auto parts stores are closed here

You can get ATF4 at Wally world for $3 a qt.

And that's the only fluid I've used.

I got the trans shop to replace the fluid in my t-case and trans with the SuperTech, works great.

46RE holds 14 quarts

If you just dropped the pan you still have a fair amount of fluid left in there.

Note that the 45RE holds 10 quarts and calls for 4 quarts to be added if you just drop the pan, 10 if you flush the system.

I seem to remember hearing that the 46RE is more like 5.5-6 qts when the pan is dropped, but that is hearsay.

That sounds right, I couldn't remember what the 46 was with just the pan dropped, only the max capacity which is 14. I knew the 45 was only 4 with the pan dropped but since he has a 46 and more fluid capacity than the 45, 5.5-6 seems right for a 46 with just the pan being dropped.

And the 2001 FSM is not accurate I don't think. lol
Either that or just confusing.
