1997 ram 1500 360 5spd when i get on the gas it starts sputtering at 2400 rpms. just got the truck. in am going to run some injector cleaner through it then start looking at plugs wires and ign module. This is my first ram any help would be appericated.

Sputtering? Like it's not getting gas? I think '97 was the plastic fuel rail year, but could be wrong, so checking fuel pressure is a little harder...

You should read through the Plenum Thread at the top of the 2nd Gen Tech Section. Could be part of the issue, may not be...

A misfire will eventually set a CEL, my truck shook for 2 days at 45MPH before it set a CEL. You could pull #6 and #8 plugs, see what they look like. #8 is prone to foul out with plenum/PCV issues...
