Default Fuel gauge goes to empty on hill

98 ram sport

When I park the truck up hill, the fuel gauge drops QUICK and sometimes it wont start afterward. I guess the pump is going bad?
Thanks

And it does have good fuel pressure, but that was tested while it was sitting flat

How much gas do you have in the tank when this happens... or does it happen all the time, regardless of your gas level?

Mine fluctuates as well, but that's just do to the style of the pump, with the floater in it, and the gas sloshing around when I take off!

my truck does that too, that's why I don't like parking on my inclined driveway because I never really have an accurate fuel reading. one time it wouldn't start on the driveway unless I gave it a little gas when starting it. I had less than 1/4 of a tank in gas.

I always do my fuel gauge checking while braking. Tends to look like there's more in there than there really is haha
