PCV Catch Can, Will this work?

Problem with the filter is it's actually designed for water, so it will load up with oil. Hence, steel wool.

they are built to separate oil and water from air lines or at least the one i used is.

Everything I've read states that its main liquid is supposed to be water. Hell, we shouldn't even be running them as it states no solvents should be in the can. Our oil contains some gasoline, so it's a solvent. And everything I've read also states that most of them will load up sooner or later.

well i guess wee will just have to wait and see. i don't see how gas could really hurt anything. its not like we are trying to use them to filter acid out of air.

Not the best way to mount it, I suppose, but it works:

you could have probably built a bracket to hold it to the firewall.
