On a 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 Club Cab, what is the largest tire that will fit under the bed in the factory spare tire carrier? 265/75/16? 285/75/16? 305/75/16? Thanks

 

i think it depends on whether you have a trailer hitch or dual exhausts that encroach any. with trailer hitch, my area is pretty small, probably something like 29-30 inch. you'd be best to put a tape measure on it. 285/75/16 is a 33 inch tire.

 

I have a trailer hitch , with a 265/75/16 spare and i dont anything bigger would fit. Its crammed as is!

 

my dinky little factory 225/75/16 pretty much fills mine up.

 

I have stock (single) exhaust exit location and a receiver. I have a 265/75/16 spare and it fits fine. A 285/75/16 MIGHT fit, but will definitely be tight, if it does.

 

I think its only the stock tires size of 265.
