Really its all pretty much the same, brand makes little difference. As long as you change the oil religiously you'll have zero problems. But as mentioned, some people do run synthetic with great success...you can always try both and see how the motor acts. I run a quart of lucas oil stabilizer in mine too (1 qt stabilizer and 4 qts 5w-30). It's good stuff and provides some added protection.
