Hey Guys,

I have an 01 1500 4x2, and my tranny sprung a leak last summer

after being bumped by a tractor. I drove her home parked her and shes been

there since. I have no idea how much damage is done any info on that would

be greatly appreciated.

I've been thinking about a swap recently and I found one out of a 96 2500

I'm not sure if the difference in four-wheel drive causes a problem if anyone

could clarify that it would also be greatly appreciated.

Have you filled it and located the leak? And btw, the 96 tranny will not be a direct swap, without replacing all the electronics in the tranny and the tailshaft will be a headache also. 2000 or 2001 2wd tranny only for a direct swap.
