Default 1994 dodge ram 1500 shifting problems

I had a 1994 dodge ram 1500 5.9 v8. I rebuilt the tranny and only put about 200 miles on it before I rolled the truck. Well I got a 1995 ram with same motor and tranny but the tranny was toast. I put my tranny in it and it runs good but it's taking awhile to shift. From 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd it shifts at about 2500-3000 rpms. It's a brand new tranny an shouldn't be doing this. Maybe the bands got messed up during the roll? I spent 1100 on the rebuild. I've changed injectors, plugs, wires, rotor, cap, pretty much everything on the motor. Please help

Please read the below link and post your threads in the correct location. This is the second time I've had to move your thread.

As far as your problem goes: perhaps the transmission cable under the hood needs adjusting.

TV cable adjusted? Out of adjustment can cause the delayed shifts.
