Default 1996 dodge ram 1500 brake prob.

new master cylinders and new front calipers and pads. brakes are mushy and front brakes bled fine but back drums have little or no brake fluid to bleed them. any idea what would cause this front pads sticking and getting xtremly hot and front bounces when this happens. its like back drums aren't getting any fluid and making fronts work harder.

when you say new master cylinder(s) plural are you talking about the master cylinder on the firewall or the rear wheel cylinders ?

if your rear brakes are not pumping fluid when bleeding, you're not getting pressure to them, which you must have.

start by manually adjusting the shoes up fairly tight with the star adjusters. not too tight. the proportioning valve is in the middle of the whole process and may be blocking your bleed.
