I have a 2001 Ram 1500 club cab with the 5.2 and an automatic. From the day we drove it off the lot the engine either idled at 1800rpm or went dead. Dealers wouldn't fix it. Over the years this caused the clutches in the transmission to burn up 3times. So as a last shot I replaced the computer. It's been 7mo and 10k miles now and it seems that solved the problem. Hope this can help someone.
