1996 swb 4x4 5.9 gas HD auto.... ok I'm getting a werring noise when driving...most any speed.... but if I push the switch to turn off OD it go's away and if I have it on and pull a hill under load it will go away... any thoughts?

 

What sort of noise? Rattling noise? Ka bang? Is it related to ground speed or engine RPMs? Is it when it is warmed up or cold?

 

Do you mean a whirring noise that matches rpm speed? Check TV cable routing. If it is touching against engine block or against transmission housing, it can result in a whirring noise. I don't know why.
