2500 Coils in a 1500
Alright so I have 1998 ram 1500, and I'm looking for a little front end lift. I've decided on putting some 2500 coils in the front. I'm just confused on which coil springs I should order. I have these to choose from: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...g.php?a=G-moog
Is the difference between these all basically just the wheelbase, and the professional grade?
Also, one other question is, would I need longer shocks? I need new shocks desperately, and am unsure on which length I should get? Anyone recommend any SPECIFIC length and type of shocks? I'm going for a little beefed up look, basically just to fit 33's without rub and not look "stuffed". Thank you.

Why not just buy some spacers? And up to 3" your stock shocks are fine. You have a lot of info in your sig, except for the fact if it's a 2wd or 4wd. Might what to add that info for future reference.
I just didn't really like the idea of compressing my springs more than they need to be, and it can't hurt to replace the ones with 115k miles on them lol.
Really? I'll get on that! 4wd of course!

The springs remain the same, no more compression then they have on them now. http://www.hellbentsteel.com/dodge/d...ling-kits.html
I'm wondering if springs for a 2500 might ride too stiff for your 1500.
On my Ram (1996 SWB 1500 4x4) I bought a pair of Skyjacker 2" lift coil springs, and a rear long add-a-leaf (Trailmaster R1530) to raise the rear 2". For shocks I went with a pair of Rough Country hydraulic shocks (nothing fancy). Since most "white bodied" shocks start to rust fairly soon, I scuffed them up and painted them with some Rustoleum silver-hammertone kinda paint. They looked good.
With lifting the truck just 2" it was enough to give it a nice look without needing an adjustable front track bar (axle stayed centered).
Here's a picture of the truck with the lift and 265/75/16" tires; I've got some 285/75/16" tires and aftermarket rims waiting to be installed.

I have 2500 diesel coil springs on my truck. Added 2-2.5 inches. Cost 10 dollars less than the hell bent spacers.
And contrary to what everyone says it rides fine. It's still a Truck after all.
Lighting sucks but you get the idea

You could get 2500 gas springs.
They're stiffer than the 1500 springs and rumor has it, are the same springs as the ORE Rams.
