Default Type ofTransmission

How can one tell the type transmission you have corporate or Dana
I believe I have a 4sp D-2-1-OD anther question I'm planning to change fluid, and now have tailshaft leak so I'm going to do that and now thinking about changing out my U joints just the rear I don't have to change the front do I? Also is it ok to just lube the drive shaft and slip it in or should the inside of the seal be lubed? I have noticed my seal has a boot otitis this normal I will pot a picture

I honestly have no idea.

Never heard of it being called either until now. I think it would be considered a Corporate.

Corporate and Dana usually refer to the axles, not transmission...

Should be a Corporate 9.25 rear...

It is a Torqueflite 46RE or A518 also known as a Torqueflite 727 with an overdrive unit.
