Default dilemma on rust hole

Im working on doing the bedliner on bottom of my truck. On the rear fender i came across a little hole. Question is should i fill with body filler or try to cut n fix. Im not experienced at body work at all. Any ideas would be great.

Time to learn.

Bondoing will last you, maybe a year.

You can get patch panels via LMC truck and various other manufactures.

Cut it out, weld in new metal. This is the ONLY way to fix it. There is almost always more rust than what you see...
