Default Air conditioning compressor

I have a terrible noise coming from my ac clutch. Sounds like a bearing noise ( metal on metal)
I understand that you cant buy just the clutch, but have to get the whole compressor???

My ac works great, just noisy, (sound is less with ac ON)

Any ideas, or recommendations? Is there a bypass pulley kit avaliable on the 98 5.9?

Once they make noise, easier just to replace the entire thing.

Try removing one of the shims. Remove the nut on the front of the clutch, gently with even pressure pull the front clutch plate off, remove one shim(tiny washer) see if that helps, if not, by pass pulley as stated above or compressor. The clutch kit is available on ebay too, just did mine recently.

You can replace the bearing.
