in the meantime you can tighten ur steering box up some and see if you like it better, it will fix some of the play. look up how to do it in the service manual, but make sure you only tighten it a 1/4-1/2 turn at a time, to much and you will lock up the box.
Good choice, mine works great(redhead). On a side note, mind if I fix the spelling of your thread title? It will help anyone doing a search on this topic.
Done....I was wondering if he was wondering or wandering while driving down the road, but it appears he is wondering why he is wandering down the road....

Yes, please fix the spelling in the title. I didn`t even catch the spelling mistake.
already done, no big deal bud. Just be sure to let us know how the redhead works out.
I will let everyone know how the redhead works out for sure. I just had a bunch of work done on the front end, so it will be around the end of November before I can have it done.
I hate to have to wait so long, but I need to save up the money to have it done.
Awesome advice in this thread for you already but to answer your question whether the ball joints and TREs can still be good, I say yes. Mine are all still good at 158k. They don't wear out nearly as fast as diesel trucks. Keep an eye on them and the replacement track bar because chances are it will go again soon. Also, good choice on the Redhead. I am hoping to finally get one soon and would love to know what you think of it.
