Cap, rotor, plugs, wires, DRTS, water pump, front o2 and catalytic convertor are the usuals in addition to a plenum fix.

as it turns out, I went back through the stack receipts the previous owner gave me because I wanted to make sure they changed the front diff to 3.92 as well. But it turns out the truck had the transmission rebuilt last year at 106K (the truck has 120k now). but also a few months after that he took it in for a coolant leak and they replaced the water pump, time chain and gears. All the work was done at a 4x4 repair and fab shop so hopefully they knew what they were doing and did everything right.

Like I said the truck runs great, I also have the magna flow cat so I don't think I need to replace that right now. I think 14k is way too soon to change the timing chain again.

I don't think the previous owner knew much about fixing trucks or didn't have time because he always took it in and dropped like $3.5k on the truck in the last year. However, he did not do plenum.

If they put a stock style chain back on I would almost be willing to bet it has some play in it. To wouldn't even call it a chain

I would put a double roller anyway on it if they didn't replace it with on already. Now that is a chain

I did the Keg mod and Hughes Plenum plate kit last year in June, great results and everything but in my opinion dont use the t-stat you get from Hughes buy one from Mopar. I had to replace the t-stat in February of this year so it only lasted about 8 months, the temp kept going high and not dumping.
Just my 2 cents.

So all the stuff I have been reading I hear some people post stuff about needed a harmonic balancer or harmonic balancer tool. But none of the DIY instructions mention anything about a harmonic balancer. Would a 2/3 jaw puller work? (to not bend it?) and is the harmonic balancer the same thing as a damper?
