I have a dodge ram 1500 sport with a 5.9 v8 the tranny has been recently rebuilt but I just started having a problem with it. It shifts from 1st to 2nd just fine then from 2nd to third it act like it goes into nuetral then my rpms jump up and then it shifts into 3rd but it loses so much power when it does and it takes awhile to recover and then it shifts into 4th just fine I was wondering if this was a major problem or just a minor mishap any suggestions would help

 

Recent. Any warranty time left on the work done? Sounds like it could be bands, but really stabbing in the dark.

 

No warranty it was rebuilt by my dads friend and I've done a ton of research but nothing has come up with anything that's seems like it would fix my problem I will check bands out to see if anything helpful comes up
