2000 Ram 1500 4x4 ring gear question
When I was at the local pull-a-part, they had an 01 2500 with both front and rear axles in tact, I NEARLY pulled them as they were only charging 150 a piece for them. (I know, a little unrelated).
But, now I have to go back there next weekend and pull one of the older style rearends (out of a 98).. wish I would have just got it when I was there the last time, since i'ts an hour and a half drive.
Would it be possible to swap the axles from a durango 6 lug to my 5 lug, or were they different widths? (I didn't have a tape with me)

I'd drive the hour and half and not screw around with a Durango rear. I'm thinking its not the same width too, even if it is, there is most likely a lot of other things that won't work without some major fab work. As in spring mounts and such.
To bad you missed out on the 2500 diff's its a great upgrade over the 44 and 9.25. I think they are different widths, internalis will be the same but thats about it, taking it that they are a 9.25 diff..
