Default what's black wire at positive battery terminal?

I have a 1995 ram pickup 2 wheel drive long bed with a 3.9 6 cylinder engine. On my positive battery terminal there's two red thick cables, one going to starter I would guess and one going to the relay box next to the battery. There's also a thin guage black wire that runs into that plastic protective sleeve with the cable going to the starter. This wire says fusable link on it. What is this wire and where does it go? Thanks, Steve

I thought it was probably something for an aftermarket light or something but I though I'd check here just in case. Thanks for the help guys.

That's about what happened, I lost track of it trying to follow it under the engine and since everything seems to be working OK I'm not going to worry about it, or at least not crawl under there to look more than I have to. I just thought maybe it might have a legitamate purpose and I didn't want to blow it off if it was something important.
Thanks,
Steve

It's for the Hazards.
They run directly off the battery so you don't need to leave your key in vehicle to have them on.

Dave,
You hit it! I checked the hazzards and they weren't working. I hooked the wire back up and now they are.
Thanks,
Steve
