1996 Ram 2500 4x4 5.9 gas auto trans. Multiple issues, questions.
On a 5.2/5.9 gas motors, there are definitely freeze plugs on each side of the block - they are 1-5/8" diameter. I typically replace them with Dorman deep cup brass freeze plugs.
I'll try the plenum and the timing chain, see if that clears some of this up, keep the tips coming and will update as soon as I can fix some of this crap. Damn vehicles, if its got **** or tires it'll cost you money (no offense to the lady's out there)
hi
I have 1996 dodge ram 2500 5.9 gas 4x4.... that keeps stalling... i did full turn up, replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor, crank sensor, cam sensor, saftey neutral switch, temp sensor on intake, new battery & Iac sensor.... I use to work on gm, i have never seen anything like this before... it will misfire or stall whenever it wants... I scanned it with snap on scanner multi misfire, 3 4 shift malfunction & circuit malfunction. Or it has no codes. The computer is losing power, its resetting the cranks. I took it to dealership they had said it was running fine died on the way home again... Any ideas???? thanks John Any thing will greatly help!!!! I cant afford another tow.....
