Default 96 Ram 1500 4wd with a 5.9- needs tune up

I'm wanting to do a tune up on my truck and not sure what all I need to replace and what are the best places to get great parts that will last for a long time. My truck has 159,000. I just got it about a week or 2 ago and I don't think it has every had a tube up!!

Plenum for starters. spark plugs, transmission fluid, oil, o2 sensors (NTK), make sure hoses aren't cracked, serpentine belt isn't cracked, if you want you can replace the timing chain and water pump (done together usually) because more than likely the chain has been stretched if never replaced.

look on rockauto.com when you pull a part up it will give a list of the ones offered, there will be one that has a heart <3 icon next to it, thats gonna be the one that is bought the most by other people so its normally gonna be your best bet.

here is a list of what id do.

plenum repair kit with all new gaskets.
new spark plugs and wires
new cap and rotor
new pre-cat o2 sensor from NTK
new thermorstat
new water pump and timing chain if your gonna do it.
new air filter
clean the IAC sensor and the port on the thrrotle body
new oil and filter
and seafoam it

also make sure you disconnect the neg. battery terminal before doing anything with any sensors.
