i run marvel mystery oil. in the gas tank 4 oz to 10 gal gas. not for diesel, or methanol fuel. do NOT over dose. it will take a few tanks to see the out come. some get a small help in MPG. been using it for 30 years. it will lube the valve stems, pistons, keep carbon out, start faster. also i use it in my R /C nitro engine as after run oil, just run a few drops through by spining it through the carb. but NOT in the nitro fuel.

Obviously you want to avoid hydrolock, so i put 1/2 in my tank first so i dont do too much in the vac line, i disconnected the line then attached a funnel to the line and held that. My girlfriend sat inside and kep a steady 1500-2000 and i poured a VERY fine trickle in, be patient! Pour like you dont want the truck to notice, you dont want it to stammer and right when you pour the last bit kill it immediately and wait 15min, then go for the joy ride. Its a little scary at first but like any job theres a right and a wrong way. Also look at the seafoam sight theres a ton of faq and videos they are extremely helpful

It feeds all the cylinders to get the seafoam into the engine to help clean and set in to do its thing. Either way it'll help if you have a gunky engine

It gets sucked down into the cylinders, with air, and the top of the cylinders.

The gas way it could only clean the fuel injectors and some of the cylinders.

Gas is good too but it's best to do both

MSDS on Chemtool B-12 fuel additive:

Ingredient Name CAS Number % wt or
% vol
Toluene 108-88-3 60-70
Acetone 67-64-1 20-30
Hexanes 110-54-3 5-10
Methanol 67-56-1 <5

************************************************** *****
This Seafoam formula has been used for many years, back to the late thirties.
MSDS on Seafoam:
SECTION I IDENTITY AS USED ON LABEL AND LIST
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motor Treatment and Trans Tune
Sea Foam Formula: Proprietary Blend Date Prepared: 4-1-2002
Emergency #: (800)535-5053 MFG. Code ID: 34066
================================================== ===========================
SECTION II-A HAZARDOUS COMPONENTS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
NO. COMPONENT EPC# % BY WT.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 PALE OIL 4229 40-60%
2 NAPHTHA 20 25-35%
3 IPA 125 10-20%

Here's the MSDS breakdown on Berryman's Chemtool B 12 and Seafoam.

Seafoam can be made at home for a fraction of the retail price, I prefer Berrymans B12 for a fuel system cleaner.

1. Pale Oil=Trans fluid
2. NAPHTHA=Coleman Lantern Fuel
3. IPA=Isopropyl Alcohol

On the MSDS's, what site do you use? Like to look up AC DELCO Upper Engine and Fuel Injector Cleaner.

Just prefix your google search with MSDS, it's mandatory for manufactures to list the contents of their products.
