Default Anyone know the pinouts for the flasher relay socket?

I have a '99 Ram 1500 4x4 Sport 5.2l.

I wired up some lights for my turn signals. I messed up and made a dead short with the hot from the flasher to the light. Left and right side. It smoked my flasher relay. I cut the wires loose and replaced the flasher relay with a new one and I think I smoked it too. I picked up a replacement one but I want to do some checks before I install it. Mine has the single relay for flasher & hazard. I dont have turn signals or flashers. The relay wouldnt even energize.

After some digging and searching it pointed me to maybe the multi function switch was messed up. I took it out today and all continuity checks are good. Open when supposed to be and closed when supposed to be. I cant find in the book a good diagram of how to check the flasher relay socket with a meter. I find lots of information on how to check almost everything but the relay socket. Does any one have any idea how to do that? I got another relay, but would like to check for something shorted before i put it in. All fuses are good and surprisingly, none blew. I checked the ones in the box under the hood and they are all good too. I took the plastic cover off the original flasher relay and the etching is burnt off the board, so I know it is trashed.

Actually, I would have thought shorting a turn signal light wouldnt have been that big of a deal, but it is turning out to be a big headache.

I appreciate any information.

Rob

I must be missing a fusible link or something somewhere.
