when i turn my truck on there is a squeaking noise that increases with higher rpms. i have finally figured out it is coming from my ac compressor. i put wd40 on it and it helped for maybe a min. is there anyway i can replace just the bearing? or do i have to replace the whole compressor?

 

Is this a constant noise or just when the clutch is engaged?

 

it is constant. so i know the compressor isnt bad. the ac and everything still works fine, just squeaking

 

The last time mine made a constant squeal it seized after a few weeks. As son as the pitch changes expect to change the clutch and belt very soon. I wasn't able to find a new clutch, but found whole clutch in junk yard... Just replaced the clutch via loan a tool at A zone.
