If I read it correctly the 55 puts out more light than the 35 but it will have the same color as the 35. So the 35 would be fine?

The 55w will be brighter so it will distort the color more then the 35w ballasts will so 35w ones will have more color in the bulb. For example I have 55w 8k headlights and I have 35w 6k fog lights and they are the same color they both have a light tint of blue.

Yeah 35w are fine it all depends on how blue you want them really. Personal preference.

I already have HIDs in my lights so they wouldn't melt them. I was just wandering if I could swap HID kits?

I need to take the junky one out that's in there now and replace it.

You should be able to put whatever kit in you want as long as you get the right bulb. I'm not positive but I think you can mix and match diff bulbs and ballasts but I'd call to make sure
