Default 46RE behind a 4BT?

I landed a cummins 4bt for an unbeatable price. My transmission is recently rebuilt, with a sure cure kit and precision converter...I'd like to keep it and simply run 3600 rpm governor springs and a different fuel plate, a #5. Anyone have experience running a 46RE behind something with alot of torque?

As for my 360...I think I will sell it, It's a torque monster of it's own but the mileage is in the 12-13 range and I'd like to see 20 with the 4bt.

There's an ebay adapter for it, flexplate,, starter w/adapter, bellhousing. But I see the issue already...I just dont think the precision converter can handle that much torque in lock up
