Default Picked up gears.

Picked up 3.92 factory gears today. Got them from a factory tech who pulled them from a newer truck with 7000 miles that the owner changed to 3.23. Eighty bucks. They look brand new. He'll install them for an additional 150. Sounds like a good deal. Just need to order the LSD to install at the same time. Wondering if the install price is a good deal. Thoughts?

$150 sounds good to me.

Thats a steal. I dont think gears from a 4th gen will fit your truck though? I thought the 4th gens changed rear ends?

Good point. He stated they are for a 9.25 inch rear end and saw my truck, but I'll call him and double check. Thanks.

Just checked with the guy I bought the gears from and he pulled them from a 2004 that he had installed them in a year ago. The PO didn't like the gas mileage. So I'm good.
