1st gear shifting problems

I have a 1999 ram 1500 4wd with the 360 that has a strange love for first gear. No matter what gear I'm in or however fast, if I'm near floored it will try to shift into first. And from first to second I have to let off the gas to shift otherwise it won't until light throttle at 3500 rpms. Any ideas?
